Is the much of a difference between Cyrus 8 XPd and Cyrus 8 XPd Qx?

must be some different due to better DAC in the latter but by £300 much? You have to be the judge of that.

I haven't been so impress with Cyrus stuff since the day of 7Q but their latest gears seem to hit the spot. Swiss army knife of audio lovers

Cyrus say the Qx option brings a deeper, darker tone to the sound compared to the standard d variant. My interpretation of that would be a less in your face sound with a smoother and more natural presentation. Sounds good to me!

If you're adding an 8se and using it's own DAC it'll be a close call. My recommendation would be to get the QX and add the CDXTse.
