cyrus 3i phono any good

Anybody out there using a cyrus 3i amp with a turntable just wondered how they stack against a modern amp say brio r

my Cyrus 3i phono stage tends to hum somewhat. I much prefer the sound of older amps with vinyl, Currently I am using an Audiolab 8000 that sounds a whole lot better than tha Cyrus 3

I suggest you spell out you budget, as 'tight' depends on your pocket not ours!

If secondhand, then you should get a reasonable amp with phono stage for under £100 with care..
