Cyrus 1 vs Arcam 7 amp or alternative?

Just need some advice on a second set up. Want to buy a second hand amp however the choice I have is either a Cyrus 1 or a Arcam Alpha 7. Any ideas what I should go for? I will be using a Marantz Ki 63 as my source through Quad 11L speakers. Unless of course someone can recommend something else-budget for second hand no more than £100. Thanks in advance.

Try to find a good Arcam Alpha 8. Quite a bit better than the 7, and certainly a better match to your other kit than a Cyrus 1.

Agree with matthew - those Quads will be a nightmare with the Cyrus. Certainly the Alpha 7 would be a good choice, although th 8 and 9 would be better. As an alternative, if you're looking for silver look at A65 Plus.
