Cyrus 1 & 2 Amp

Hi,

I currently own Cyrus 1 and Cyrus 2 amps and wondered if a modern sub £300 amplifier would be better than these old units or would a refurbishment be a better option?

Any recommendations?

I have noticed a deteriation in the sound quality recently from both units but they have served me well for many years.

I am no expert, there will be plenty of people who could offer better advice than me but in all honesty speak to Cyrus and see what options are available with upgrade to the PSU etc.

I think you will be hard pushed to get anything below £300 that would better the Cyrus.

I used to own a Cyrus 2 and quite honestly, it's a bit of a classic in it's own right.

I think Steve above is right, you would struggle to better it contact Cyrus and see what they can do.

The Cyrus 1/2 sound is not for everyone, but if you like it, I agree with what others have said that you won't better it cheaply. Do you use your Cyrus 2 with a PSX?
