CXN DSD64

When playing DSD files through my CXN i get nothing but static and beeps! I can't seem to figure it out. I'm running optical to my CXA 60. Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Andrew, I can't say definitively what's wrong but hopefully can help you work it out.

1. are all of the firmware updates installed as DSD support only came as part of a firmware update?

2. how are you getting the files to the CXN - DSD is only supported over upnp (network cable or wifi) or UBS hard drive?

3. If you're using a NAS, what make and model?

4. why have you connected the CXN and CXA with an optical cable? The DAC setup in the CXN is slightly more sophisticated than the CXA so I would connect the two together using analogue RCA cables to take advantage of the CXN DAC rather than rely on the CXA DAC.

Thanks for the reply mate but I realised that because I was using optical I was not using the DAC in the CXA as you said! Switched to analogue alls good now! Sry to take up your time
