Just come out of there and they are selling it for £899 with free delivery and I can't find it any cheaper on the net. Price war or will the inernet dealers be lowering their price accordingly. Is this the best price ? Can anyone beat it ?

That is a bargain, I could only find one cheaper and that is from 1staudiovisual on the Internet. I'm not sure how good their service/stock is but £899 is really good especially for Currys!
Well if Currys are selling it at that price, then get John Lewis to pricematch it, and you'll get a free 5 yr guarantee too.

Richer Sounds have been selling it at £899.95 for a while however despite there being stock in the Watford Branch (I know I had one on reserve just in case), John Lewis at Watford refused to price match it saying and I quote "the item was nt on display with the shelf edge ticket price".
Seems that they are getting funny about the price match! I will try and get them to match Currys and see what happens.

Digital direct are doing it for £880 but no 5 Yr warranity from may the 1st in store shops were selling it for between £900 and a grand with free 5 yr warranity

Still waiting on John Lewis to price match Currys at £899, but now Richer Sounds has just dropped this beauty to £849 or £934 with 5 yr guarantee. Come on John get back to me ?

Well they've come back and refused a price match as no Currys near John Lewis in Bluewater has one in stock !! I've just written a stinker of an email, shocking customer service etc and have now asked to price match Richer Sounds ! Here's hoping.

There are conditions on the price match which include it must be on display and in stock at the price match store,but they should have explained that to you..So ring Richer Sounds and make sure they have it on display and in stock.You can retry the PM against Currys once you know it is in stock.

Yes, JL do state the terms of price matches on their website and do post a written response to your home which includes these details. They are not doing anything underhand but I know exactly how frustrating it can be.
The most success comes from price matching with sound and vision in Bolton. The Cheadle branch of JL monitor the prices of S&V and any branch of JL will match on this basis.
S&V are showing this set at £905. Get it matched to this and take advantage of the 5yr warranty.

Well they've come back with an offer to price match Richer .... but using the incorrect price and inclusive of an assumed delivery fee. This equates to £939 which isn't bad for a 5 yr guarantee. I've queried their price and offered them £889 which is the quoted price from Richer sounds + assumed delivery of £40. If they take me up I'll be in store Saturday. Fingers crossed.
If possible i'd try and stick with JL for the 5yr warranty.

Not sure why they didn't price match that other store for you, i don't think distance is now an issue with their price match.

Unbelievable, after several emails to them JL finally agreed to price match at £899 pickup of £939 delivery, I thought good deal !
I check their website this morning and there is the new price £899 for free delivery and 5yr warranty, is it a coincidence that the more price matchs they get they eventually cave in. Anyway at that price it's mine tomorrow !
