crossover frecuency

crossover frecuency 150hz or 75hz ?wats the difference? mind this optionis on a pre amp so could you explain ?

One sends everything below 75Hz to the subwoofer, and the rest to the main speakers, the other sends everything beliow 150Hxz to the sub and the rest to the main speakers. Which you use depends on the LF extension of your main speakers. Didn't this thing come with an instruction manual...?
