Creek Evo 1

At the moment I have a NAD C326bee amp but I can get a Creek Evo (the first one) for not much money.

Is this an upgrade ? What do you think ?

Ah, right - no idea about streamers or your speakers.

When I heard the Creek EVO 2 I found it to be punchy and detailed, although it does lack the Nads outright bottom end. It, however, more than makes up for it with bass strength.

Is there anything particular you don't like about the Nad?

I like the NAD a lot but I thought the Creek evo would be an upgrade. I can get it for 500 euros.

The Evo MKI originally retailed at £450 approx - not sure how that converts to Euros.

I would say you'll get something different but whether it'll match your set-up and appeal to your ears is another question.

If your after a taste of high end the Creek will fit the bill, but it will expose any weaknesses in your system. If something about your listening experience is bothering you don't blame it on the amp. Presentation is quiet dry but not thin or cold, if you after overblown warmth look elsewhere.
