Creating iphone/ipod versions

Can anyone tell me how to create "iphone versions" of my lossless files?

when i right click on a track i have the option to make a lossless copy, and when i click on advanced i can see:
create ipod/iphone version
create apple tv version
create lossless version

however the first two options are greyed out. Is this something to do with having my files stored on a nas drive (although i cant imagine why).

Not sure about the 'advanced' list you've got there, haven't seen that. But the 'Create ______ Version' right-click option is based on your current rip settings. Change the import setting to AAC 320k, for example, and that right-click will change to 'create aac version'.

Hi JD the advanced is from the menu bar, not right click (i should have said).

I'll give changing the settings a go, but it seems a long winded way given i'll just have to change back one i'm done!

OK got it. Those are for videos, not for audio - that last, ungreyed one is for creating different audio versions but again is driven by current rip settings.

Yes, seems a bit roundabout but that's the way it is...
