Crackling from speakers????

Morning peeps, why is I that everytime I turn over the channel I get a cracking sound from the either the left or right channel????

By 'channel' do you mean TV channel or input selection on the amp?

Which amp? (Sony or CA?)

Sorry, should have put more info in the post.

The connections are as follows..... Sky plus HD box--->DACmagic plus---->CA 650a---->B&W 683. The only time the Sony is used is when I've a HD channel on.

Sometimes there is no crackiling and sometimes it comes from either the left channel or right. Would a mains conditioner help or is ts something completely different????
