The silver version is very reminescent of late 1980s cheap Hitachi 50W integrateds.

Everyone since ever absolutely hates slider potentiometers on amps. So why go there?

The black version although very Sony PS in its appearsnce, at least has the brushed aluminium going for it. Not that you'll ever be able to appreciate it from your listening seat.

They aren't bad at all. Should drive almost any speaker on the market today with ease.

If they price it 15-20% from the MSRP, it may actually sell.

I think Rick had a realistic figure in mind. Price it at 3K, sell it at ~2K, shovel it to consumers for sub 1500 on its way out.

And let's not forget we're discussing the RRP for the UK. If it's around 5 grand in the UK I consumers elsewhere will be looking at higher prices. I guess here in the Iberian Peninsula we would be looking at something around 6 thousand euros, which is a lot!
