Connecting PS3 to Onkyo 875 Receiver

Hello again, In line with the advice I received in the Forum here, I went along and purchased the Onkyo 875 AV Receiver. I also ordered Quad L-ite's (in rosewood) but until they arrive I have to do with my Bose AM 10. In the mean time I also received my Chord HDMI 1.3 cables. The question is: How do I connect the PS3 (and the DVD player, a Pioneer DV668) to my new AV Receiver in terms of "sound"??? Do I just use the HDMI cables for simplicity, or do I use the HDMI cables for picture only and also use a separate Coaxial cable for sound?? Thanks a lot in advance...

Just need the HDMI cable to stream PCM sound - to my knowledge the PS3 doesn't yet stream any of the other HD formats DTS HD etc.
