Hi, ive just ordered a turntable ( https://bit.ly/3szEjtD ) and am wanting to connected it to a Phono splitter that i have going to a couple of monitor speakers. ..

My question is.. the RCA>Phono leads that around done have any kind of ground cable on them - does this matter?

Im not hugely knowledgeable about turntables but ive read the grounding helps illiminate hiss. Are there RCA>Phono leads that exist that have a grounding lead? or should i not worry?

thanks for your help

You should not worry.
Grounding eliminates hum.
All phono RCA phono leads are screened.
Without a separate wire the necessary grounding gets done via a screen. (Although occasionally, there can still be a hum problem that needs the extra wire)

What is the phono splitter you mention?
Will you be using the line output or direct from the cartridge?

Hi - i guess i dont have the most conventional of setups :)

Currently i have a couple of Tannoy studio monitors and i have an XLR>Phono cable that goes from them into an airport express so that i can stream music directly to them from various devices.

Now im introducing a turntable into the mix, im thinking of getting one of these, https://amzn.to/3D714tK and having both the turntable and airport express going into it - and the box outputting to the speakers. (with something like this coming from the turntable https://amzn.to/2UHM0By

(oh - and im planning on going straight from the RCA of the builr in stage of the turntable)
