hi, i am connecting up a NAD C340 amp and NAD 521i CD player i recently got hold of.

i read a comment recently you can plug your CD power cord into the back panel of the NAD; not directly from the cd player into the wall. this apparently provides cleaner power to the cd player.

can you enlighten me on this? where do you plug the cd power cord into?

thanks for your attention. jon

Jon, if its not obvious then consult te manual. If you don't have it, the visit the NAD site and it should be there for you to download. I'd check it first before trying it out. I know the C352 had a mains out for a slave unit such as a CDP.

i do not have the manuals, nad do not provide downloadable one's for earlier models. it seems you have to pay an anoiying charge to download one from a distributor.

Take a look then at the online manual for say a 352. cant be that disimilar. There is a damn great big mains out socket on the back of the amp which is switchable. It's similar if i recall to the mains out from a PC to a monitor.
