Hi,

I'm a total novice at this kind of thing. I have an old Denon ADV500 SD home cinema system witha faulty DVD player, i was planning to throw it away but decided to try and play my vinyl though it instead. However when i plug it into the red and white Video In connectors i am getting no sound from the amp, this is also the case when i plug an Ipad in usinga red and white connector. Is there anything else i need to do in order to get this going. (i can use the FM radio on the amp so i presume it is working althought the DVD player is broken)

Thanks Paul.

Are you sure the Denon is on the right input? You need to connect the "red and white" to Video1 in or Video 2 in (not out) and then set the Denon to the corresponding input.

You will also need a pre-amp for your turntable if it doesn't have one built in.
