Connect An Airport Express Over Wired Network

Any pointers as to the best way the set up the airport Express over a wired network?

My router's upstairs and the wireless would reach downstairs. I have a home plug now downstairs plugged in beside the Airport Express so I can just use a short length of ethernet to connect the two.

How do you go about doing it?

Our Airport Express is in the same room as the router (a Fritzbox 7170). I have set up the Airport Express to join our existing wireless network.

Not sure about the setup with homeplugs but you can connect the AE with an ethernet cable to a wired network. It saves setting up wireless security. I would plug in the AE into the homeplug and run the Airport Utility. If it recognizes the AE over the ethernet network you're in business.
