Confused. Are the Samsung UE406503 and the UE40650 the same television?

This is a question on my father's behalf.

The 6503 is stocked by Richer Sounds. I'm wondering if this is a retailer specific model number, since it's not reviewed anywhere? What, if anything, is the difference between the 6503 and the 650 reviewed by WHF?

If anyone can clarify I'd be most grateful.

Confusing, isn't it? Yes, Samsung makes different models for specific retailers and it's hard to keep up with them all. Sometimes the tech specs do differ, as each model is built to a price specified by the retailer. In this instance, I wouldn't assume the two models are the same.

I got the model number wrong: RS (and Amazon) stock the 40UE6530. The obvious difference is the stand, but as you state, there may be more to it than that...
