can anyone recommend a decent conditioner please? are there ones that improve picture as well as sound? I think the max i would like to spend would be £100 but would obviously love to spend less if i could!

Thanks in advance

Hi Gander,

I am sure that you will get plenty of recommendations for conditioners on the forums. If you do get a mains conditioner then it is advisable to invest in some good quality shielded power cables. Standard unshielded power cables are susceptible to picking up airborne noise after the mains has been filtered by the conditioner thereby undoing some - or even all - of good work done.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Darren

Graham_Thomas:Tacima CS929 for a bargain at less than £30.

Aside from Maplins having a 'sale' on. Where have you seen it under 30 quid?

I've just ordered a Tacima 929, I'll report back with the findings. Well, that is if it reaches me before Christmas, the postal system here can be a little slow.

Actually, edit the above!!! I cant seem to get the tv to 1. switch on properly (on the original tv remote i have to hold down the on button for a few seconds for it to respoind, its a pana pz82) and then when it does go on it doesnt switch to the hdmi 1 without pressing the help button! grrr. I am going round in circles with it trying different things without success on either! Anyone got any tips??

Well, My Tacima's finally made it, and they've made precisely the change in my system I was hoping for!

I no longer need to go behind the telly to change cables over

I don't hear or see any difference in performance, but then, I wasn't really expecting one. I had Belkin PureAV 4-way extension leads that I was perfectly happy with, but after moving house I had 11 things to plug into 2 sockets.

But £20 for a surge protected 6-way extension is as big a bargain as you'll get in AV cables I guess
