Hi

Popped into Comet on my way haome as torn between the pz85 and 80, wanted to see the IFC in action as most people dont rate it, anyway after a 10 minute wait while sales staff finished their chat i finally got some service, i asked if we could get the remote for the PZ85 and turn IFC on and off as they had BBC HD demo on and it was football so perfect to see motion handling, the young lad looked at me gone out!! finally he went to the back of the store for a remote, 10 mins later he returned with a faulty remote, he then spent 5 mins sorting new batteries with no effect, he then proceeded to tell me this is the TV to have as it has FreeSAT, when i corrected him he became rude and told me to buy the Samsung as Panasonic are poor TVs and are being taken over by Pioneer.

Its no wonder they have a poor reputation and to make it worse the shop manager was listening in towards the end and did not even correct the lad, what training if any do these guys recieve?

Hmmm, Amazon or Argos are preferable.

I can't believe that even after all these years of slagging off, stores like Comet still continue to employ (or not give adequate training, if any, to) people who don't even know which orifice to shove a toothbrush.

These managers obviously have no intention of moving their stores forward or have any interest of what people think about their stores if they're not bothered about their staffs abilities.

I think the majority of their staff are more concerned about selling their extended warrantrys han actually making sure that they are actuall forfilling the Customers DEMANDS AND NEEDS related to the actual porduct they wish to purchase.

Well yes agreed with Amazon but I reckon Argos is about the worst shopping experience EVER no matter what's being bought!

And the missus likes to choose the kettles and toasters by looking at them - which is fair enough...

It's amazing they're still in business. If I ran my companies this way I'd be bankrupt by now...
