wouldn't match my room decor, but I could live with it, as long as they sound good which is really all that matters surely.

but then again I'm not looking at speakers at the moment, think I have enough already ( nine plus two subs ).

Come on; they bear no resemblance to Donald Trump! And they reproduce sound pretty accurately so no fake news either.

I think the finish is superb (just like the piano black). The colour of the wood finish appears distinctive. I remember someone commenting that they look better in the flesh than in photos.

ps Just heard a Debussy piece played on a solo harp (Classic FM) and it sounded great. Close your eyes and the instrument was almost there (and that's playing at a relatively low bit rate). Cracking speakers!

The "colour" would be fine if it wasn't for the glossy finish! Sometimes I think we've become like a bunch of magpies that are only attracted to shiny things!

Looking at photographs there are quite a few that seem to show a more natural cherry veneer but I have to say the more orange ones have a more stylish twist imho.

I saw my last pair of speakers (Totem Arros) in very bright post-box red a few years back at a Bristol show - they were also very shiny & didn't do it for me. These are almost subtle by comparison & I actually like them.

The first batch had lacquer with a little too much tint in it, we toned it down for the second batch so it was a little more natural...

The most recent pics I have are:

I hope that shows the finish ok!

Cheers,

I can't get pics on the last two links but from these I prefer the more orange version :-(

This one may fit in with furniture but looks ... old fashioned to these ageing eyes. -

Perhaps I change opinions when I actually see them.
