coaxial/RCA?

Not sure if this has been discussed before. I'm in the process of building up my stereo system. i'm thinking of getting the Yamaha CD S-1000 or Rotel RCD - 1072 cd player. Both cd players have coaxial out. Which is better coaxial or RCA cables?

Depends what you're connecting to, and the quality of the digital to analogue conversion therein.

i'm going for the Rotel RB 1070 power amp and Rotel RRC 1070 stereo amp.

Then coaxial digital is a non-starter, as there is no conversion in the preamp you've chosen. Straight stereo RCAs are the only way.

thanks for info Andrew, i'm upgrading my cables as well and would have bought the wrong cable!!! In my part of the world it takes 6 weeks for cables to arrive after ordering, well QED anyway.
