Chrome for iOS

Agreed, had the app for about 2 weeks now on iPad 2/iPhone 4. Not got it on the iMac though as I like Safari 6 with Mountain Lion on that.

Unfortunately due to Apples licensing rules Chrome cant run as a native app.

Therefore Chrome on IOS has to use UIWebView which means theres no access to the Nitro javascript engine which has optimisations such as JIT, so javascript execution is a lot slower than within safari.

On the plus side it does most of the features found in the android version.

Its funny how AverageJoe seems to know only all the bad press that covers iOS devices, I wonder if AJ spends as much time looking at all the negitive points with Android

I'm equally happy to point out faults in windows, android, linux or whatever....if just that Apple have so many of their own making - not due to technical problems - but due to corporate policy.
