Hi,

Anyone has got experience with chord signature speaker cable?

just have seen them on eBay in good price and I was always thinking to buy them.

I have cyrus system + splendor a6 speakers and chord epic cable.

Do you think is worth to change them would I be able to hear any difference ?

thanks for any replay :?

If you believe you will hear a diffrence you will, If you do not believe you will hear a diffrence you wont.

The cool hard facts are that speaker cables will not make a diffrence to the sound, so long as they a thick enough for the job.

For longevity (Particually agaist corrosion) choose a cable made of OFC with a good insulation.

Hope this helps

Bill

I'm a newbie here, but I'm betting this is the sort of thread that could go on for a while.

Last time I auditioned speaker cables, or any cables, was when I bought my last system, in the mid-1990s. I ended up settling for DNM Reson solid core over the various multistrand offerings, all of which 'did' something to the sound, and nothing good, in my view. I wouldn't say cables can transform a system, but a well-chosen set can certainly remove obstacles to the equipment being allowed to truly shine, and therefore allow you to enjoy your music or films, etc., as much as possible.

Which should, of course, be the ultimate goal. 🙂

I agree with Toolpusher. In my experience, changing cables can bring subtle improvements but you have to test the more expensive cable in your system and decide if the differences you hear are really improvements and whether the cost is justified. Personally I think the Epic is already very good and it would be hard to better it in your system.
