I found that the 2 Clearer Audio copperline Alpha cables I bought for my amp and CDP made a good difference straight away

Sound was more expansive and open but the bass was punchier and more detailed as well!

Hi Triggy

I believe you should carry on using the standard mains cable as it will enable your components to breathe. I would advise you put funds towards one of the upgrade options for your amplifier as this will give you a positive return on your investment.

I have one on my CD Player and it is good. However, if I were you I would buy a Wireworld Stratus 5s as it a much better cable.

compared to the Chord there is no competition, I notice better improvements over the Chord.

I chose to upgrade my power before my speaker cables as I noticed a greater improvement over the power cable than changing from QED Silver Anniv XT to the Atlas Hyper 1.5. Clear sound stage all round.

I was a true sceptic of mains cables before I tried the Wireworld Stratus 5s and I never looked back, WHF review it this month as well.

Just my opinion for what its worth.
