Chord Crimson Plus Vs QED Performance

Hi,

I'm looking to upgrade my subwoofer cable from a standard cheap cable to either the Chord Crimson Plus or the QED Performance.

Dixon's surprisingly have the QED Performance for only £23

Any recommendations on which is better for a KEF Kube 2 Sub?

I personally use the old Chord Crimson sub cable and was happy with the improvement. I think either will present a noticeable improvement over a standard freebie cable. You could see if you can arrange to get both from your dealer so you can compare and then take one (or even both) back depending on your findings.

As suggested by the Prof, try to audition both and determine which you prefer.

I have had both and found that the Chord Crimson Plus had a distinctive hum which was very annoying.

Thank you both, i'll def give that a try.

On the basis of the price of the QED cable at Dixons I may just be swayed by that.
