OK, so I am trying to decide what to buy next. current set up is:

naim 112 (non x)
naim 150 (non x)
naim cd5i (non itallic)
naca a5 speaker cable
qubic qln 166 speakers (fronts)
ps3 for playback
samsung 40" le40m86bd lcd tv
dynaudio centre
montior audio rears
yamaha ax763 receiver

i am trying to figure out what to upgrade next and what to get. i am split between a sub and a new blue ray player. i am leaning towards a sub as I dont have one now. but to be honest there are some great deals on players right now.

so if you had say £250-£400 to spend, what would you go for?

Seeing as you don't have a sub at the moment and you currently have the option to play blu-ray discs then I'd opt for the sub.

I have been tempted by the Tannoy TS-10 sub but it seems the price is higher than in the recent review, what do people recommend. I only want the sub for films, I don't plan to use it for music.

With your kit, I don't think you could go wrong with the Wharfedale SW150 (£195 widely available).

The Miller & Kreisel KX12 is available for about £330 (usually about £600), which will be noticably faster than the Wharfedale, and many others at this sort of price point.

Fair enough but even at that great price, it's almost double what the Wharfedale costs.

Have M&K gone bust (heard a rumour) as I would be nervous buying something from a bust company as you could struggle with servicing/repairs etc?

Well, I thought hard and decided the m&k was too good a bargain to miss. It just arrived and I have unwrapped it, it is a big boy for sure! Will be setting it up in a bit so will report back on what I think of it.
