as Dale points out with that 2Khz spike was enough to make me offload them, comfort was an issue too. I think you'll love the Senns.
The HD650's arrived today, despite them being for Christmas, it was my duty to open them up and have a quick listen, in case of any faults
They come in a lovely box cushioned by foam and as soon as I touched them I said to myself "these are proper headphones... had a quick listen and they sounded like I had a pair of Harbeths on my head lol!
A bit tight, but didn't want to fiddle too much, so will sort that out later.

My first ever headphones were the entirely marvellous HD414,which were the only alternative in their day to ghastly Koss headcrushers. I loved them. Still have the box, even though forty plus years of decay has done for the plastics.

I have the sr80e and found it preferable/more balanced to the 325 which seemed to bright and pinched.
Could be the flat soft foam ear cushions as opposed to
the harder different shaped ones on the 325.

HD650's unwrapped and sitting proudly on my new HiFi Racks headphone stand , present from one of my sons... had a brief play this morning, serious listening tonight.
