Is there a cheap power amp, under £200 that i could use with my beresford tc520 to power a pair of small bookshelf speakers like the monitor audio br1. I would only need about 10 to 15w per channel. And the bereford does have a built in preamp. Or is there a cheap stereo amp for about the same price

Or better still get a proper amp like the NAD C315BEE...

Typically btween £170 - £200

This will blow away something like the Project box and have far more versatility for any future plans.

The MA BR1's will sound far better for it.

I was going to recommend that one next!

Yeh i aws looking at that but what hifi gave it a really bad review. Maybe a relatively good sounding one at this price doesnt exist. It doesnt matter about size so much as i can stick it behind the desk or something

The NAD C315BEE gets a perfectly respectable 4 star review in WHF and a great review in Hi-Fi News and scored an EISA award for "Best Product 2-Channel Amplifier" for 2008 - 2009.

That's not too shabby for less than £200.
