Cheap DAC for spare room system

We listen to a fair amount of music in the kids' room. I'm looking to add a DAC to the old Denon minisystem to stream Spotify from iPhone to Airport Express and into the spare line input. Predicatably the sound is poor going straight from the AE to the Denon. So I'm looking for a cheap solution cabling 3.5mm/Toslink from the AE to a DAC and then to the Denon. There's a couple of cheap deals on Amazon at the moment - but I have no idea whether they will be decent enough to make a difference. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Fiio offer good value for money products - in the three above the E3 looks better than the rest. Personally I have a Fiio E 17 for portable purposes and I love it - everyday.
From reviews the E 3 looks in line with Fiio's reputation/performance. Not an expensive gamble either. Good luck.
