Hi

I am just about to buy a ceiling mounted projector and screen. I have seen a projector made by a Chinese company called Oley !! Basically its my first experiment with projection and this came along cheap - might be a stupid question but are they any good?

Also, it has a HDMI connection as does my Onkyo TX-SR875 Amp, for the time being I will be using my PS3 for HD DVDs - so I presume I connect the PS3 to the Amp then the Amp to the Projector ???

OK, so where can I get a HDMI cable thats about 15 foot long??? Or am I missing the point.

Thanks

Simon

Having looked at the 'HD' projector on the Oley website, I notice it's only 640x480 resolution, which is really not very good at all, and is likely to look pretty ropey. And the other one I've found advertised online is 800x600, although agreed it's only £240 or thereabouts.

You'd do much better to save up for a used/ex-dem projector from one of the more familiar names in this market: you should be able to get an InFocus or something similar for about £500 or so.

Thanks for looking into that for me.

I didnt think it was a quality one as it is going for £100 inc 100" screen projector and ceiling mount. I have seen projectors that cost £1000s so it is a mine field for me at the moment as I know nothing about this stuff.
