CD Text

Just wondered if there's any free audio software out there that will read/write CD Text. This felt like a daft question at first until I found how much software doesn't support it.

I'm now on Windows 7 and the software I used to use on my old XP machine isn't compatible (is "compatibility" an alien word to Microsoft?). No update is available and the latest version is damn expensive.

A couple of years back I created a lot of CD's from my old tapes & minidiscs. Now I want to load most of these onto my new PC it's going to be a real long winded pain to have to type in all the info again.

what are you wanting to do?

tag them with track info? are they existing albums in the CD world? if yes then it should not be to hard to auto tag them...

but i am not sure what you are actually wanting to do.

No they are not existing albums, they are all compilations I've put together myself. When I created them I put all the song titles/artistes on the CD's as CD Text (my CD player reads them ok).

All I want is some software that will read them to save me the bother of having to type all the info in from scratch as there are quite a lot and it will take ages.
