can this be improved ?

Hi.............Can you help, I have a Pioneer stack system from the late 80s which I have never really stopped using in the last twenty plus years . I replaced the belt on the tt maybe six months ago so its had time to settle.

95% of the time it spends playing vinyl , the speed seems a tad irregular to my ear and i wonder if anything can be done to improve the tt and make it perform better with the amp and speakers.

Not sure how to fix but to confirm whether the speed is off you can use a strobe disc.

Get a strobe or even the iphone app to test the speed. At that age the power supply might just be on its way out - had a similar problem with my previous turntable and couldnt get a replacement. It might also just need oil
