Can i use active speakers denon m37

I am interested in active speakers in the future and just wanted to know if i could still use my denon as transport.

Do you mean use it as a CD transport?

If so, no, because it doesn't have a digital output.

The Onkyo 525 doesn't either, but the Yamaha - I forget the number - does.

However, the digi out only applies to the CD, not the DAB, and it doesn't A-D FM or iPod.

Well, I guess you could use the tape outputs, if you had active speakers with their own volume control - but it's hardly ideal.

Yea thanks eddie thats what i meant, i just wondered if i could, looking to upgrade in the future and thinking active speakers look a good option,cutting out buying a amp, the AD M91 or similar look like the way to go.
