Can I use a Kindle Fire to stream Spotify into my hi-fi?

Hi, I am thinking of subscribing to Spotify premium to stream 320kbps music on my hi-fi. I am looking for something portable so I can also use it around the house using headphones and plug it into pc speakers and other audio equipment in other rooms. Would a Kindle Fire be suitable for this purpose and would the sound quality be good enough for hi-fi?

I'm not sure of kindle qualities, but I expect so. I use Google nexus 7 and it is good for HiFi streaming 320kbps. Are you thinking of using Bluetooth to the amp, its what I would want to do. In which case you can buy a Bluetooth receiver to plug into amp.

I don't think a Kindle has Bluetooth. So the answer is no.

I have one in my hand & can confirm it has bluetooth.

I've never tried connecting mine to anything but the sound quality is surprisingly good (obviously taking into account the minute speakers inside it) so I might give it a try but using a 3.5mm jack to twin phono lead as bluetooth hadn't even been dreamt of when my amp was made

If you do connect your Kindle to your amp can you let me know what you think of the sound quality?

Cheers.

Can I download music from Spotify using my pc onto an ipod and plug that into my hi-fi? If so does the ipod playback in 320kbps or is it restricted to Apples 256kbps?

I tried mine today & thought it sounded terrible, very dull, in fact almost muffled.

The file was downloaded from Amazon (Pink Floyd- Learning to Fly) so I would hope it was of decent quality.

Very dissapointing
