Can anyone advise me on which speakers to buy for my setup ?

Hi , I am looking to upgrade my speakers in my hifi set up, I have a Roksan Kandy K2 amp and a K2 Cd player with Monitor audio Bronze Br5 Speakers. I am using Chord Chameleon silver Interconnects, and Chord carinival Silverscreen speaker cable.

Please can someone advise what speakers would be good for this setup? My living room is average size, I was thinking of Monitor Audio RX6 Speakers, i have around £750 to £800 to spend. I listen to all genres of music.

More information on the position of the speakers might help. Do you want stand-mounts or floorstanders? How far from the back wall to the speaker position?

I would consider CM series from b&W as well as Spendor speakers.

To be honest with you i would prefer floorstanders, as my living room is not to great for positioning my speakers, i have to have one of them near the wall, unfortunately...

Monitor Audio is a good choice. What would be a good match is Focal JM-Lab 714Vs, or maybe Epos (can't remember model number).

Ummm, what is your taste exactly? What kind of sound do you like to hear?

I like to hear very detailed and open sound with controlled bass

Ah, I think I heard the the KEF IQ5SE floorstander apparently is good for small to average sized rooms, costs around £400, does what you're after apparently - including the controlled bass - and works well against a wall. I appreciate your looking at a bigger budget, but the listening requirements are pretty specific.

Hmm... they are well within the budget i have to spend, but will the sound quality better my Monitor Audio's BR5 ?

I'm not to sure on that ?
