OK, from a cursory look at the manual I think what it's trying to say that it will accept a 24/96 audio signal into its optical in (which is quite good if you happen to have any sources that will play that). The 32bit DSP is just trying to say that it has a good quality signal processor for surround sound, but doesn't actually mean very much in terms of numbers. Just think to yourself "quite good".
