Cambridge Audio 650BD or Marantz UD7006?

I have a NAD T747 A/V receiver and a Loewe Art 42" tv

Main priority is movies but music playback (music dvd/blu-ray or cd) is a close second

That's more like it Rush fan; and based on that info, the fact that I'm not familiar with that particular Marantz model, I would first of all suggest a thorough audition of both as I would imagine they will have fairly different presentations for music and movies, with the Cambridge fairly forward, aggressive and attacking, and the Marantz a little more even across the board, and smoother with the music side of things I would have thought.

I personally am a fan of the Cambdidge gear and would think that it would go very well with the NAD amp you suggest, though I'm not sure which speakers you intend to use ??

Auditioning both is your main priority now tho if at all possible...

Thanks for your insights ricardo. I must say, being a fan of rock music (I guess you figured that one out on your own

), that your description of the Cambridge sounds very appealing to me.

Speakers for the time being will be my trustworthy Chario Syntar 100's and my brand new Focal Chorus SW 800 V subwoofer.

I''ll try to check them out both.
