Do you think that your Primare amp would be a suitable upgrade from my Roksan Caspian MK1 amp?

I don't think mine would, it's more Kandy territory (A20 mk2). The i30 would be an improvement (IMO) but whether it would be worth the money you'd have to spend to upgrade (400 quid sale of Caspian, say, i30 on sale at hifibitz for 1150) only you could say. From a purely sonic point of view, I'd say it's not worth the cost. Aesthetically I'd say yes (obv).

If you went second hand though, with an A30.1 (700 quid on eBay usually), that's a 300 quid cost to exchange and is a much more attractive proposition.

Does that make sense?

What about the I30, currently £800 on ebay? is it better than the A30.1?

Yes, though not that much. And it will go for £1k+........
