Cabling for a Friend's system

I know this was under Accessories, but I hoped it might get more attention here...

I have a very special old friend who is a great lover of classical music, and a musician himself. He has bought a lovely (if American) theatre system on recommendation of a colleague, but has been using it with freebie cable for some time:

Meadowlark Swift (front, x2)
Meadowlark Swallow (rear, x2)
Meadowlark Swan (centre)
Jolida JD700 CD/DVD player
Jolida JD502B Tube Integrated amp
Jolida JD 1703 Hybrid integrated amp

He has enlisted my help to find wires for him, but I'm afraid I need advice:

He needs audio interconnects (say +-100 GBP each), a video interconnect (optical or analogue; +-50 GBP) and speaker cable (+-15 GBP pm).

What would be a reliable bet?
