I am not looking for any cable recommendations but more of relative importance.Ok 5.1 outputs from the disc player connected to the AV amp. would you use cable comparable to the two connected to the stereo amp? So say i have stereo interconnects at £100 would you go for £300 worth of interconnects for the 5.1? or.....

Im assuming this is for surround sound 'music' (ie SA-CD)? If not and its just films your playing then id go for a coax cable connected to your av amp personally and let THAT do the decoding.

But in answer to your question ~ yes I would :p

aliEnRIK the movies is covered by HDMI as is the sound but that is having the AV amp doing the decoding. But yes for SACD and Music DVD's etc....

In answer to your first question it depends whether you can afford it.

ÿI can't read your signature though, what's going on?ÿ

Octopo ok the NAD disc player T585 (SACD/DVDA/DVD) outputting multi channel to the Onk. Not often but... It is already connected by HDMI which does it all but the amp does the decoding rather than the player if i have it set right... But i was not really wanting to get into details.. just trying to get a feel for the cables considering they must be doing less..... Or? I must check if the HDMI over rides all other outputs ..... as that would make things pointless ;) but i do have other disc spinners.....
