Cable Connections

Hi there

I am hoping you can give me some advice as to what cable connectors to buy for my Panasonic DMP – BD80 blue ray player to my Phillips 2.1 home cinema system. Looking at the manual I can use a digital coaxial cable to connect the two but is this the right connection to use to a 2.1 system or would I be better off to use analogue connectors instead and if so any idea as too which ones ?

Unless the Philips has an HDMI input - and I'm pretty sure it doesn't - then yes, an optical digital cable is the way to go.

Assuming your TV has two HDMI inputs, to one of which the Philips is connected, then a second HDMI cable from the Panasonic to the TV will deliver the pictures.
