any suggestions about bi amping the 740a? what hardware would match to it? using the 740c and MA RS8s bi wired with MA silver cable. the mrs had a baby so aint been on in a while! ;-)

thanks mucho

Do you mean another amp to bi amp with? I think I'm right in saying that its not advised to use two different amps to bi amp. So another 740a!

You can use different amps to bi-amp IF one of the amps has a variable output that can be dialed in to match the other amp.

I've personally never been tempted by bi-amping. While I completely believe that more power can often yield significant sonic improvements, I would rather just buy a bigger single amp.

Or second hand - you should be able to pick up a 740a at good money. Theres some good recent threads re bi amping on here - could be useful. ONes called something like bi amp or one powerful amp.

I did sell my C355 though and have a brand spanking new pre-amp waiting to be fired up...
