Hi just got these, do they need running ?

Sound via an itouch and listening to wav files music sounds very poor, with little bass and lots of distortion not to mention very tinney treble and vocals, far better with old earphones.

Got the correct size buds on? Unless they're fit tightly into your ear, the sound won't be that good (well, certainly the case with the original CX300s anyway).

As the Prof said, they should be a big improvement over the original apple headphones. If they aren't then either you don't have them fitted properly or they're faulty.

Cheers guys, will check for fake signs when I get back home but am sure they are the real Mccoy.

At last they are sounding sweet. Had to play with the buds and fit odd sizes in each ear, but they now sound better then my old PX100 but not by much it must be said.
