C.A.T.S PANASONIC PLASMA GT30

had my gt30 for a while now so fully run in although the picture quality is great i have always found the picture a bit dull until i turned this system on and now has given me a very bright and vivid picture to which i like all i would like to know will this setting give me any issues with image retention or reduce the lifespan of the panel because of the more dynamic picture obviously i like the way the picture is but if it is going to cause any issues with the tv in the future then i may have to think about not using it

C.A.T.S adjusts picture settings according to ambient room light. It's perfectly fine to use it. Don't worry.

Agreed. When I had my GT30 I used C.A.T.S occasionally during the day when the room was bright as my daytime picture setting wasn't always strong enough to deal with a very bright sunny room and it worked well.

Nothing to worry about at all so keep using it if you prefer the image with it on, not ideal for movies though as I found the tv lost it's cinematic picture but it certainly won't do any harm to the tv so you can use it with confidence.
