I've just been looking at CDs on Amazon. You may have seen the often strange pricing structure for yourself, but here's an example:
The same album > mp3 £7.99 CD £3.99 'Buy the CD album for £3.99 and get the mp3 version for FREE'.
I know they always give an mp3 with a CD purchase. But in this case, even if you were an idiot who only wanted an mp3 version, you could pay £4 less for it by getting a CD that you could then chuck away!
(And remember when CDs first came out? We were paying £13+ for them so had to be selective, now there are some bargains, especially, as forumites have pointed out, when compared to vinyl prices. Funny old world)
