Hello Everyone,
I've decided on a pair of B&W 606. S3 speakers and I find I can buy some from Richer Sounds clearance of demonstration stock for a 130 pound saving - but only with a 1 year warranty. I'm a novice, and I wondered if reliability is much of an issue with the B&W speakers - or after being used in the shop. Any advice will be much appreciated.

No reliability issues as far as I am aware. That doesn't seem much of a discount for ex demo though.
It will, of course, depend on what they will sound like in your listening room with the rest of your kit, whatever that is.

Hi I recommend to buy a fresh new set with full warranty. 130 pounds as saving is not a lot to get just one year warranty. And remember, those speakers love power or better high current reserves of the amp. So take care with matching with the amp and high sound quality source. BR.

Ex-demonstration should carry full warranty. Only a few brands like Naim don't do that, as they used to take warranty from date of manufacture, so if it was on demo for a year, you'd get warranty less one year.

i think they were always reliable , i´m using again currentelly some CDM7, i think this series isn´t existing anymore or is it the CM ,now.
Only after two weeks of using them again, the tweeters started to sound a lot lower compared to the mids and high´s with great quality, but added some JBL´s and now most of the high´s come from the JBL speakers

Great advice - thank you.
Can you clarify what you mean by £130 saving.
Saving on what price?
How much are they asking exactly?
The new price is 699, but they have demo speakers which I can get for 530 from Richer Sounds. They have only been on demo for a year and have run for around 8 hours in total. But as some helpful commentors here have suggested, I can pay 540 to Sevenoaks and get the full warranty, which I'm going to do. Thank you very much for responding.
