Hello,

I'm about to buy a 50-52 TV, and my two choices at this moment are the Sony 52W4000 and the panasonic 50pz81E.

The main use is cinema, br(as I own a ps3), DVD and some gaming (ps3). I own a onkyo 606 & B&w 685 theater so musicality is not important.

I can buy both at exact the same price (so the cost doesn't affect the decision).

Unfortunately I can't make a good review in a shop at the models before the buy (in Spain is impossible to make a side by side comparision), so all my decision is based in all reviews i can found on magazines (mainly WhatHifi) or internet, and each time I read one new review, I change my mind.

I know there is an incoming supertest for 50-52 TV that should be able today, but probably i can't put my hands over one magazine in at least two or three weeks (I live in Spain).
I that supertest, probably the best is the pioneer (that is very very expensive, 1500€ more here), and the sony and panasonic are going to be very similar (I think the sony is going to win).

One of the things about the sony that worried me is the absence of 100hz that the sony 52w4500 will have, and the question is:

buy now the 52w4000 or the panasonic 50pz81 (until i read the test i don't know) or wait september to buy the 4500?

too many choices... help please :)

Thank you very much in advance.
Gabriel

On such large screen, lack of 100 Hz and motion compensation is really annoying, if u ask me... Id go for Panasonic
