budget subwoofer

hi im looking to buy a budget subwoofer and was wondering if anyone had some good experience with the eltax rumble or the wharfedale vardus vr sub.

my current set up is a hifi setup and im just making the switch from budget hifi to home cinema. at the moment i have a set of mission m31i's and an acoustic solutions sp101 hifi amp. im planning on getting either a sony or onkyo amp (as there stocked locally) after christmas. but until then it would be used in my current hifi setup via the line output on my amp (if my amp is good enough i know its really budget but i bought it a while ago after seeing it cheap and reading what hifis 4 star reveiw of it)

my room is a fairly large size although not massive so i figured i might not need floorstanders if i get a sub and a set of small rears (probably m30i's) as this would please my gf as she wouldnt have large boxes everywhere.

The Wharfedale SW150 would be a good place to start, in my view.

its a little bit more then i have right now but if its a big difference then id definetly be willing to wait

the sw150 would be a stretch that i would be willing to make especially as iv heard it before. my ex gf's dad had one with his diamond 8 hcp and a marantz amp and it sounded pretty nice

i noticed richer sounds had an sw100 for about 100 pounds aswell has anyone got any experience with it?

Or, as I and a couple of other forum members have done, you could look at the Acoustic Energy Radiance sub on ebay for £205 (normal rrp £500).

There's only one left (in antique ash) and all the Radiance products on ebay are 'B' stock; but those of us that bought described the sub as mint condition.
