Hey folks

I'm looking at buying the yamaha YSTFSW100 to pair with my YSP-900

I have a very limited budget and was wondering if anyone had 1 of the above or knows OF it?

Maybe even an alternative for around the same money...........£100

If you want anything remotely musical, you will need to double your budget methinks. Richer sounds are selling the MS 409 for £200.

I tried a couple of cheap subs a while back, and took them back they were that bad.
However if all you want is loud explosions, then go for it...(try and get one on trial though)

*EDIT. Apparently THIS is essentially the same sub as my MJA Pro 50, at half the price I paid.
If thats the case, £150 is getting you a very nice quality sub for the price

Ok guys my BK Gemini is here and connected via RCA (low)

now i have only ever had plug and play stuff so this is all new to me

I have run the auto set-up on my YSP-900 and it has found the sub and completed the set-up............sounds pretty good!

However when I want to listen to music.........the YSP still seems to be taking most of the load

I'm nightshift tonight so will have another read thru the instructions...............too many knobs and dials on te back o the sub for a dunce like me!!

ÿ

Any ideas...................is there a set-up guide for such things??

ÿ

Cheers

If you want the sub to kick in sooner, you will need to change the cross over frequency dial. I don't know your speakers but if they are sats, try having the dial set to about 120hz and see if that helps.

This might help too. I didn't have a clue before but it's not that difficult once you read up.
