👍Noco have a good rep, I went for a Topdon one as amp for amp it was cheaper than Noco. I already have some Topdon diagnostic kit which seems to work well. It's just for peace of mind and possible assistance to others.

My car has only let me down twice and it's been the battery both times*, the last time was at work and no one would give me a jump start, citing that it would fry the electronics on their car, don't know if this is true or not? Brother came to my rescue in the end.

* Not sure why but batteries on my car are like duracell, they work then they don't - all in the same day! It was my fault, I thought the battery was about 4 years old, checked my records and it was 9 years old! 🙂

Jump starting a car does not fry the electrics on the car you connect to. So long as you connect properly and don't allow the red positive jump lead to touch anything other than positive battery terminal.

👍 Always thought this to be the case John, just twats at work worried about their new car acquired on PCP. Me and my brother knew different, jump leads on, start car, remove jump leads... simples 🙂

I bought a pair of Adam’s T5V for my home studio. Not so much due to a Boxing Day sale- I noticed they’ve gone back up to £150 at most places so ordered a pair for £230 at a store where they were still discounted.

currently have Edifier MR4 & use them for Spotify listening a lot more than expected. They are not nice speakers. Looking forward to something more musical at my desk.

Yeah, quite right! It's people that don't know anything about cars.🥱 We used to jump start our 8.2 litre AEC engined coach. It had 4 dirty great 6 Volt batteries and we used two Fiat 127s to do it. It never fried anything.

Impulse purchase on a Wharfedale SW150 subwoofer which arrived today. Just running it in now so hopefully it'll loosen up over the weekend. Sounds promising initially and build is way beyond what you'd expect for £175. Reassuringly hefty as well. It's no lightweight coming in at just over 40lbs. Wasn't in a sale or anything, but as it retails these days for £75 less than when it first came out, that's a pretty good deal I think (admittedly, that was back in 2004, but I'm not complaining). Went with the ever reliable AV.com down the road in Bacup, Lancashire.
